The Hands Off HRI campaign has been working with local event organisers, local bands and a national tribute act as well as locally based activity groups to bring together a Family Fun Day Festival. This promises to be an outstanding musical experience with plenty of action packed, fun filled demonstrations and activities. It will be held on Sunday the 4th of September in the picturesque Greenhead Park in the market town of Huddersfield, situated in the West Riding of Yorkshire. The day will start with a march and demonstration starting at the HRI at 12:00pm and will proceed to Greenhead Park for the start of the festival.
The diverse programme of music and arts ranges dramatically from Acoustic to Alternative, Blues to Brass, and Classical to Celtic, Folk to full-on Jazz, Pop, Punk, Rock, Reggae, Soul and Ska…you get the picture! The formula of dual stages across the main park supplemented by the demonstration arena which offers a non-stop extravaganza of entertainment. With people dancing in front of the acts, clapping in the crowds, or simply lazing in the quintessentially beautiful Greenhead Park while listening to the music, this festival truly offers something for all ages.
